All appointments will be arranged at a time and place convenient for you, we usually visit you in the comfort of your own home however we can happily provide the consultations elsewhere to suit your needs - such as the postnatal ward.
During the consultation process we will explore what’s been happening for you and your baby. We can then work together to address practical issues and help you to set realistic expectations of your baby and yourself. Following your initial home visit, your consultant stays in touch during the next few weeks to provide support and advice as you and your child establish the new habits and routine. Our goal is to leave you feeling more confident and better able to navigate your way through the jungle of conflicting information that so many new parents find themselves lost in. We will leave you with a plan and strategies for a way forward, so that you can better achieve your breastfeeding and mothering goals.
Initial visits - during the consultation your lactation consultant will help you to develop feeding strategies tailored to you and your child. The visit is scheduled at a time that fits in with you and your child’s routine. All consultations include a tailored feeding plan for moving forward and one week’s unlimited email support.
