Emma Dewey - Founder of City Antenatal
Emma is the founder of the renowned childcare training agency Babyem who specialise in training maternity nurses, sleep consultants and nannies throughout the UK and internationally. Babyem’s sister company Families Work helps companies in the corporate and media sector to support their working parents. Passionate about childcare and supporting working parents, Emma has spoken at a number of childcare events and conferences on topics such as providing flexible childcare solutions and developing effective outreach provision. Emma also authors training manuals for childcare associations and best practice documents for local authorities.
BETH GRAHAM - MIDWIFE, LACTATION CONSULTANT AND SLEEP SPECIALIST
Beth is a Midwife, Lactation Consultant and Sleep Specialist and has been delivering babies and helping families since 1990. She has worked in hospital settings and attended home births whilst working for private hospitals such as the Portland Hospital and with the NHS. Beth believes passionately that women have the right to the birth experience of their choice, be it a home birth or a hospital birth, a water birth or an elective caesarean so long as it is an informed choice. Beth runs a busy practice supporting individuals with breastfeeding, sleep problems and weaning advice.
Verona Hall - Midwife, Lactation Consultant and Hypnobirthing Practitioner
Verona has been a midwife for over 15 years and is a certified Lactation Consultant and Hypnobirthing Practitioner. Verona has considerable experience working within the NHS and the private sector and has performed hundreds of water births and home births. Verona has experience delivering antenatal and postnatal classes within an investment bank, including preparation for birth classes, baby massage courses, breastfeeding workshops, newborn resuscitation and first aid classes.
Lyndsey Hookway - Lactation Consultant and Sleep Consultant
Lyndsey is an experienced Paediatric Nurse, Lactation Consultant and Sleep Consultant with considerable experience teaching and lecturing health and childcare professionals. Lyndsey supports families in the UK and internationally with a range of issues including breastfeeding, sleep problems and behavioural issues. Lyndsey has written a number of articles and spoken at several national conferences on breastfeeding, sleep, and supporting families. She is a consultant for the premature baby charity Bliss where she has devised policies and training programmes for professionals.
Melanie Brown - Nutritionist
Melanie is a renowned Nutritionist who specialises in pre-conception, IVF and pregnancy nutrition including weight loss (and gain) and immune system issues. Melanie’s writing regularly appears in the Telegraph and for magazines such Harper's Bizarre and Stella Magazine. She also contributes to food news items for the BBC, debating a range of subjects from the banning of Marmite in Denmark to calorie counting in Michelin starred restaurants.
Anna Firth - Nutritionist and Yoga Practitioner
Anna is a nutritionist who works from a Harley Street clinic - she specialises in nutrition for Women's Health. She is passionate about educating people about health; teaching wellbeing workshops for and healthy eating in schools. She is supportive, encouraging, and gives practical advice to enable clients to make lasting changes to their diet and lifestyle.
Charlotte Steed - Maternity acupuncturist & Reflexologist
Charlotte specialises in reflexology, acupuncture and traditional Chinese Medicine and runs a busy practice in Canary Wharf. Charlotte supports men and women throughout the whole pregnancy process, including those seeking help with fertility, whether naturally or in conjunction with fertility treatment. Charlotte uses acupuncture or reflexology to promote a healthy pregnancy and natural birth, and is experienced in providing acupuncture for pain relief and labour induction in a hospital labour ward.
Zoe Mundell - Osteopath & Acupuncturist
Zoe is a former Personal Trainer and Pilates Teacher and now runs a successful osteopathic practice at the Reebok Sports Club in Canary Wharf. Over the years her interest has shifted towards pre and post-partum care and paediatrics which has resulted in her post graduate training at the Osteopathic Centre for Children. She also has experience working with the Barnett Hospital neonatal unit osteopathic outreach programme. Zoe understands the physical strains placed upon mother and baby during pregnancy and child birth and, most importantly she knows how to help you enjoy a pain free, relaxed pregnancy. Whilst symptoms such as back and pelvic pain are common in pregnancy they are not normal and can be treated. Zoe uses a variety of osteopathic techniques to treat woman and babies including cranial osteopathy.
Linda Hedenstrom - Personal Trainer
Linda is a former Olympic athlete and one of London's most sought after Personal Trainers, training everyone from professional athletes to high profile actors. Linda has worked with many women during and after their pregnancy on a one-to-one basis, as well as providing ‘new mother’ fitness classes in West London. After her success at the 2000 Olympics, Linda went on to specialise in personal fitness and boxing prior to setting up her own practice.
SARAH GERTH - MATERNITY COACH
Sarah is a maternity coach who runs independent classes with the option of follow up coaching from London based venues. Before setting up Maternity Matters, Sarah Gerth worked in HR for 14 years, in large financial institutions across the globe. Sarah's unique service supports individuals to plan their maternity leave and return to work process like a project.
